Holidays in Majorca
Majorca or as some say Mallorca is the largest of the Spanish Balearic Islands and is open for business all year. Where you stay on the island is up to you but if you get it wrong then youre in for a holiday from hell. Obviously everyones opinion of hell is different, so be careful to check out the resort before booking and never ever take an allocation on arrival package or you could be in for quite a shock.
Magalluf is for the 18 to 30s crowd and is full of 60s style hotel and apartment blocks that wouldnt look out of place in any run down inner city. On the other end of the scale you have more upmarket resorts such as Cala Millor, Cala Bona, Calas de Majorca, Cala d'Or or Playa de Palma. For middle of the road resorts try out Alcudia or its upmarket neighbour Puerto Pollensa along with either Santa Ponsa and Sa Coma all of which are great for families and couples and have something to do day and night. The island can be pretty and has a great selection of beaches and things to do and also offers good value for money holidays but its important to know which beach to lay your towel on.
